The Historic Dockyard Chatham is operated by Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust, a charity formed in 1984 upon the closure of the Royal Dockyard at Chatham. Following a 35 year development programme, the Historic Dockyard has to grown to become a truly unique heritage site that welcomes over 190,000 visitors each year. Alongside it’s development as an award-winning tourist attraction, the Historic Dockyard is also home to over 100 diverse and thriving businesses and the collective impact of both the Trust and these businesses currently contributes over £28m to the local economy per annum.

The University of Greenwich at Medway, which has deep roots in the local community, has already been helping pioneer new ideas with both young and established companies in the region.
